Review & Description

This is a book for Children with a Christian theme. This is the first in a series I refer to as "The Little Luke" books. Luke is a typical boy, aged 8 years old, who loves to ask lots of questions. He knows he can ask his best friend, Jesus, anything and so he does. In this series, each book will focus on one question that Luke wants answers to.
In this book, Luke wonders why he can't understand his dog Miller when he's barking. In other books, he'll ask Jesus questions about divorce, bullying, cheating, racism and more. All these stories are Biblically based and have a related verse at the end.
I hope you enjoy my take on how Jesus might answer a child's innocent questions through Love and understanding while still conveying Truth from Scripture.

These books are written with short sentences on each page and full of child-friendly illustrations. A child in 2nd grade and up should be able to read it by themselves. But younger than that will probably require a parent's help. This is a book for Children with a Christian theme. This is the first in a series I refer to as "The Little Luke" books. ―¡Yo no he sido mamá! ... The Colors of Autism (Paperback)

The Colors of Autism
The Colors of Autism (Paperback)
By Brianne Taylor

Review & Description

This book is about my life growing up, but in a different perspective. My Mom started reading books about Autism when I was really young. She wanted to know all she could so that she could help me. However, I do have one problem with this. All of those other autism books you have probably read are written by adults. To my knowledge, there has never been a book that makes you see Autism from a child’s perspective. Though many professionals have studied autism which can make them somewhat experienced as an observer, most do not personally struggle with it day by day. They do not know what it is like to have different fixations, or how important is it to an autistic child. This book provides insight from the Autistic child's perspective and provides a Journal section to help the reader express their emotions. Read more

Grade 3 Multiplication (Kumon Math Workbooks) (Paperback)
By Kumon Publishing

Review & Description

Most grade-school workbooks try to cover the full range of topics in one workbook, and as a result do not dedicate enough pages to important mathematical concepts. Kumon's research has found, however, that children find learning easier when they tackle one skill set at a time. With these findings in mind, we designed our newest line of workbooks to help children with one particular mathematical skill set per book. Read more

An action-packed story of a young squirrel's quest to be a good son, as well as a better and smarter squirrel.

After learning how to make balloon animals at camp, Emily and Elizabeth set out to create the ultimate balloon twist book -- for kids, by kids, with every page in full-color photographs. They left out the complicated designs and twists that required big hands, keeping only the projects that were fun and simple to learn. The book starts with seven-year-old Elizabeth's easiest balloon twists and works up to ten-year-old Emily's more advanced two and three-balloon creations. Included are suggestions on how to buy a pump and balloons, as well as warnings for noise-shy twisters who want to know when a part of the project needs extra care to avoid popping the balloon. SINOPSIS:

―¡Yo no he sido mamá!

Olivia Saves the Circus
Olivia Saves the Circus (Hardcover)
By Ian Falconer

Product Images

Review & Description

Olivia remembers her trip to the circus very well. The performers were out sick, so she had to do everything. She...

  • rode on a unicycle
  • jumped on a trampoline
  • juggled five balls!
  • tamed lions
  • and flew through the air.

Step into the ring with Olivia, where the lights are dim, the color soft, and a little girl's imagination is the main attraction. When it comes time to tell the class what she did on her vacation, Olivia isn't at all nervous. In fact, she remembers it quite clearly--she went to the circus, you see. "But when we got there, all the circus people were out sick with ear infections." What are the odds? But the show must go on! Fortunately, Olivia jumps right in to help out--riding elephants, posing as the Tattooed Lady (she draws on the pictures with a marker), taming lions, walking tightropes, juggling, clowning around, and more. In a marvelous fold-out, four-panel spread, our porcine heroine even reigns supreme as the Queen of the Trampoline. "And that's how I saved the circus. And now I am famous." Olivia looks proud. Her teacher looks mad. Ian Falconer shines in this dryly hilarious sequel to his 2001 Caldecott Honor Book Olivia. The charcoal and gouache illustrations perfectly capture Olivia's earnest expressions. Be prepared to be charmed anew! (Ages 4 to 8) --Karin Snelson Read more
